The NBF stores personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in Section 2, or as required by national sports registries, statutory limitation periods, and international boxing archive standards. Medical records are securely archived post-retirement in line with health safety guidelines.

Request a copy of your personal data held by the NBF.
Right to Rectification
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion where no overriding legal obligation exists.
Right to Object & Restrict
Object to or temporarily suspend specific processing activities.
Right to Data Portability
Request your data be transferred to another federation in a structured format.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Withdraw consent at any time without penalty (withdrawal is not retroactive).
The following consents are required during registration:
I explicitly consent to the Nigeria Boxing Federation collecting, processing, and storing my personal bio-data, contact details, and professional boxing history for registration, licensing, and communication purposes.
I explicitly consent to the processing of my Sensitive Personal Data, including medical reports, blood types, physical metrics, and drug testing results, strictly for ring safety, anti-doping control, and regulatory compliance.
I authorize the NBF to share my necessary data with accredited international sports governing bodies, local medical emergency teams, and official regulatory ministries exclusively for tournament selection and mandatory event compliance.
Parental / Legal Guardian Consent (Boxers Under 18)
Pursuant to Section 31 of the NDPA 2023, processing a minor's data requires parental evaluation and consent. A parent or legal guardian must co-sign the registration for applicants under 18 years of age.
